Oolong is the category of semi-oxidized teas. Somewhere between green & black, the process for making an oolong tea can vary greatly but includes nuances from both production styles. Much like wine, an oolong's geographical origin can signal a specific tea bush varietal, micro-climate, and tradition of processing. Most oolong teas are good for multiple infusions, with each one bringing out new nuances & flavors. Needless to say, being such a vast category of tea there is no one "typical" oolong essence, though floral, aromatic, complex & layered are sure bets.
